The PADI Open Water Diver is the entry-level certification recognised worldwide. With it you may dive independently to 18 metres anywhere in the world — for life and with no expiry date. Wherever your next trip takes you: with this certification, the sea is yours.
Learn from the beach — without time pressure
With us you learn to dive where it is calmest: straight from the beach. No boat, no harbour, no rocking. You start in shallow water and go deeper step by step, as soon as you feel confident. In groups of three people at most, your instructor really has time for you — not for a whole boatload.
How your course works — 3 days
- Theory: either conveniently from home via PADI eLearning (included in the course price) or with us during the course
- First exercises in shallow water at the beach
- Four open water dives, in which you calmly apply everything you have learned
- Your certification — and your internationally valid certification card
Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 10 years (10 to 14 years: Junior Open Water Diver)
- Swimming ability: swim 200 metres and tread water for 10 minutes, each without aids
- Health: a short questionnaire is enough; a medical clearance is only needed for a chronic condition or a past operation
