Why sidemount?
In sidemount diving you carry one or two tanks at your sides instead of on your back. This gives you better balanced trim, relieves your back when putting the gear on and taking it off, and with two tanks gives you more gas supply and redundancy. Many divers find sidemount the most comfortable and versatile way to dive.
